Ready for distribution

And just like that... my first iOS app since 2014(?) got reviewed and approved by Apple in just 24–36 hours!
No extra steps, no remarks — just released.

Yeah, it’s hard to nail everything perfectly, but I guess it only took about 20 years of experience… and a little help from AI (ChatGPT, to be specific).

AI Card Genius is built with Flutter — a language (well, framework) I hadn’t even heard of before. The whole widget system and the new syntax were a bit overwhelming at first, but Cline helped me get through it.

About Cline:
I hadn’t explored much of the “new AI era” or its countless tools. But a few months ago, I read a blog post from a developer experimenting with Cline and OpenRouter to generate code. That piqued my interest.

Eventually, Cline became the only extension I was using in VS Code. After a 5-year coding break, I was suddenly… back.
And honestly, it felt great.

Now, a lot of you may roll your eyes at "vibe coding." But as my dear friend Tomas said, AI is just a tool — you have to know how to use it. Otherwise, AI becomes a SaaV: Service as a Vulnerability. 😉

As Sagan once said:

I decided to build not one, but two apps:

  • An AI-powered flashcard generator, and
  • A chatbot agent (still a work in progress).

Coding alongside AI is honestly fun — and efficient. It’s like being the product manager of your own mini dev team. You define the roadmap, and they write the code. For me, it doesn’t feel much different than leading a real team.

So... what is AI Card Genius?
Let’s say you want to learn something — Korean words, anatomy, physics equations, capitals of the world. Instead of writing dozens of flashcards yourself, you just ask the app:

“10 easy Korean words”
and in 5–7 seconds, you’ve got a full flashcard deck ready to go.

Give it a try — and let me know what you think!
